Guardian Booth is a leading manufacturer of prefabricated structures such as guard shacks, ticket kiosks, trailer booths, modular workspaces, wall systems and modular homes. We deliver nationwide, and export to Mexico and Canada. Our mission is to design, engineer, manufacture, and deliver the highest quality prefabricated structures to meet the individual needs of each customer.

We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and energetic individual to join our company as Director of Sales, Marketing, and Engineering at our corporate office in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is a particularly key member of our executive team. This position requires a visionary leader who can develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets, promote our brand, and spearhead the development of innovative modular workspaces and homes. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of projects and maximum customer satisfaction.

Director of Sales, Marketing, and Engineering Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Leadership:

● Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and objectives

● Lead the sales team to identify and acquire new customers, as well as expand relationships with existing customers

● Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products

● Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by analyzing trends and results

● Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors

● Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, supply and demand

● Generate and maintain accurate Account and Opportunity plans

● Complete North American sales operational plan and monitor performance

● Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, and provide regular reports to the executive team

● Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective sales operations, including pricing, forecasting, and customer service

Marketing and Branding:

● Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and support sales efforts

● Manage the creation of marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and website content

● Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand the competitive landscape and identify trends and opportunities

● Oversee digital marketing efforts, including social media, email campaigns, and SEO/SEM strategies

● Drive the successful implementation and adoption of the sales and marketing automation CRM/ERP platforms

● Analyze pipeline and lead data to deliver periodic reporting to the executive team providing key business insights: typical reporting relates to Demand Generation, Pipeline Forecast and Trends, Conversion Rates, Target Account, Market Segmentation, and Win/Loss

● Report on key KPIs related to the lead generation waterfall to implement a consistent closed loop between marketing and sales

Engineering and Product Development:

● Provide leadership and strategic direction to the engineering team to ensure the successful development and delivery of innovative products

● Oversee the engineering team to generate stamped drawings and obtain state approvals and certifications

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize projects, and manage product development timelines

● Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

● Review major bid submittals and proposals to assure accuracy of quotes and drawings

● Work with the Operations team to implement targeted sales and engineering support strategy

● Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering function to optimize processes and enhance product performance

● Work collaboratively with other departments to foster a culture of continuous process improvement

● Drive innovation initiatives that lead to better products, new designs, and lower manufacturing costs

● Coordinate with the operations department to ensure the validity of methods used in manufacturing and installation to match design

Team Management:

● Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of sales, marketing, and engineering professionals

● Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability

● Set performance objectives and provide regular feedback to team members

● Encourage professional growth and development through coaching and training initiatives

● Understand and effectively communicate the company's value proposition, technology, and processes

● Ability to handle multiple customers, tasks, and projects simultaneously

Director of Sales, Marketing, and Engineering Requirements and Qualifications

● 10 or more years related work experience required, or 5 years of experience plus a master’s degree or additional training/certification

● Proven experience in sales, marketing, and engineering leadership roles, within a B2B manufacturing company

● Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth

● Deep understanding of marketing principles and strategies, with experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns

● Technical background and familiarity with engineering processes, product development, and manufacturing operations

● Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams

● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions

● Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams for both technical and non-technical audiences

● Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, results-oriented culture

● Ability to identify and solve customer issues strategically

● Highly proficient in reading and interpreting structural framing and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and specifications

● Competency with CRM and ERP software

● Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives from a sales and engineering perspective

● Ability to prepare reports and use of appropriate mode of communication including proficiency at analyzing data, building reporting, and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends

● Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines

● Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

● Keen business sense, with the ability to solve challenges with creative business-oriented solutions

● Knowledge of modular and prefabricated construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards is a plus

● Skilled in communications, presentations, client relationships, sales planning, prospecting, negotiation, emphasizing excellence, creativity, independence, and motivation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
